The Program will cover:

 

  • Trauma-specific knowledge (Complex Trauma) and interventions for working with Children, Youth and Adults who suffer from trauma or are especially vulnerable

  • Resource-oriented skills from Psychotherapy and Trauma Pedagogy

  • Resilience for the prevention of Emotional disorders in Children and Youth: Resilience is the ability to react flexibly to changing stressful events, to retain the ability to act and to endure crisis without suffering trauma.

  • Competencies for a good Self-care practice: Working with trauma is emotional engagement while staying stable

  • Trauma Pedagogic Skills and Interventions

  • The CWF framework for Connecting with and Understanding Children, Youth and Adults

  • Trauma-related Psychosocial Assessment

  • Knowledge, Attitude and Skills - equally important, and part of every step of the program

  • Attachment patterns and influence on relationships in school and home

  • Emotion regulation and the ability to relate to Children, Youth and Parents in any         emotional state

  • Neurobiological foundations

  • The Helping process to feel seen, heard, and emotionally understood

  • Mindfulness skills for transformation

  • Self-care: closeness and distance with Self and Other

 

Skills you will you have after the Program:

 

  • You will have trauma related competencies for helping others

  • You will better understand mental injuries, reactions and behaviours of people with trauma experience

  • You will be able to reduce stressful moments through resource-oriented, stabilising interventions

  • You will be able to attend to emotional needs and help children and adults to feel safe and regulate emotional arousal

  • You will have competence for your Personal Growth and Self-care

  • You can ask for and involve support from Peers and Professionals

  • You will have tools to help build Trauma-safe Homes, Institutions, Churches, Teams and Communities

  • You will gain insight into relating to people from different Cultures
     

Dates:

Chinese TCTP 2020 

June 2020 - June 2021

English TCTP 2020

                   Start January 2021

English with translation into any language

(3 Blocks / once a week online-classroom time / 6-8 weeks per block)

Credits and Learning transfer: 

 

  • 100 Learning hours (1 LE = 50 minutes) of Life-online Classroom

  • Supervision

  • 100 hours to deepen learning and application: 

  • Reflexion time

  • Participants Learning Groups (Students are required to attend Small groups for Personal growth and Skill Practice, on-site or online)

  • Practice and Literature reports  

  • Practice Assignments 

Certificate:

You will receive the Certificate of Attendance for:
‘Trauma Care Counselling in, through and with Cultures’

 

Requirement for Attendance:

  •         You are actively involved with people as a Social Worker, Carer, Teacher, NGO staff, Volunteer,            Foster or Adoptive parent, Occupational Therapist, Counsellor or in another related role

  •         You are motivated and willing to self-reflect and grow in your attitudes, skills and knowledge

  •         You have a computer and a quiet and uninterrupted space/room for attending the Online-Life         Classes
